Short Courses

Schia runs short introductory courses on herbal medicine. These are aimed at beginners, although people who have tried their hand at using simple remedies in the past will still learn from them.

These courses are not accredited and do not lead to any qualifications in Herbal Medicine. For courses of this nature, please contact the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (see Links).

Medieval Fair
Fun Medieval Fair to celebrate 800 years of a church (and thus a settlement) in Fen Ditton, Cambridge. A group of local herbalists (including myself) will run a stall entitled 'Medicinal Herbs - then and now'.

Come and find out more about what herbalists did 800 years ago and what we do now. We will have a fun quiz and some things to buy. We will have some old remedies to try out, some new remedies to have a look at and will be doing free blood pressure checks!

The Fair will also have many other stalls and entertainers including dancers and singers, vikings, falcons, demonstrations of old crafts, history display, hog roast, ale, tea and cakes.

Fun for all the family.

Fen Ditton Recreation Ground at the junction of Church Street, Stanbury Close and Green End, Cambridge, CB5 8SX.

Sunday 27th August 2017 from 12 noon to 5pm.

Free Entry!
